Director of Sports PerformanceRobbie HebertRobbie graduated from Nicholls State University in Louisiana in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Allied Health Sports Science and a Bachelors of Science degree in General Studies.
During his career at Nicholls State, Robbie was a pitcher on the baseball team from 2000-'04. In 2004 he was selected for the Major League Amateur Baseball Draft by the Minnesota Twins.
Prior to coming to The Edge Sports Performance Center, Robbie was a strength and conditioning coach for the Houston Astros organization. While there he created and implemented strength and conditioning programs for minor league players. He also customized strength and agility workouts depending on individual players' needs.

Sports Performance CoachFrank TyreeFrank Tyree, sports performance coach, comes to The Edge with an education background having taught in the Franklin County School system for 2 years.In 2006 Frank decided to pursue a career in strength coaching and enrolled at JMU where he studied under nationally renowned Strength and Conditioning Coach Greg Werner.Frank has trained Colonial Athletic Association champions in track women’s track and field as well as worked with CAA champions and NCAA tourney teams of men’s baseball and women’s soccer.His teams, while at JMU, included track and field, baseball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s swimming, and men’s and women’s soccer.Coach Tyree recently obtained degree in Exercise Science and Leadership this summer.

Sports Performance CoachMatt DuffMatt is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech receiving a degree from the department of Health, Nutrition, Food, and Exercise, specializing in Health and Exercise Promotion. Interning at The Edge since the summer of 2008, Matt is now employed by The Edge full time as a sports performance coach. Currently, he is furthering his education through studying to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Matt’s main focuses are football and track, which he played all four years while in high school and was named captain of both in his senior year.

Sports Performance CoachTodd DoughtyTodd graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, specializing in Biomechanics and minors in both Biology and French.
Doughty began his athletic career as a Tribe football team member before leaving the gridiron for the Track and Field program.
He currently holds William and Mary records in both Decathlon and as a member of the 4x400 relay team.
Upon graduation, he coached throws and multi-event athletes at Duke University and William and Mary while training for the 2000 Olympic Trials in the Decathlon. He’s developed a myriad of training programs for athletes of all levels.
His coaching accolades include several All-American athletes, Olympic Team members, ACC and CAA Champions.
He also served as an officer in the United States Air Force.
Director of ActivitiesAndy MorrisAndy Morris, Director of Activities, has been coaching in the Roanoke area of the past 25 years.
During the past nine years, he served as the assistant head varsity coach and head junior varsity coach for the William Byrd High School Girls Soccer team.
Andy has successfully held numerous AAU tournaments and other events throughout Roanoke and Vinton, and he stays involved with the local church leagues and the Vinton Booster Club.
He and his wife Dottie live in Vinton and have two children, Chad and Whitney.
General ManagerAdam WilliamsAdam is an owner of The Edge in addition to the General Manager.
He and his wife Talena started The Edge in 2007 in hopes of providing area athletes with a state of the art training facility.
They also own
On-Site Sports Medicine Services which provides Certified Athletic Trainers to local school systems.
Adam grew up in Roanoke and wrestled at Washington and Lee University.
He currently serves as the Assistant Wrestling Coach at Hidden Valley High School.
